Alex Flower Farm began as something deeply personal—a way to honor my father, Alex, and the values he instilled in me: hard work, resilience, and finding beauty in the simple things.

After spending decades helping families build their dreams through homeownership, I found myself drawn to something different—something quieter, more meaningful. What started as a passion for growing flowers quickly turned into an obsession with dahlias—their endless forms, colors, and personalities felt like living art.

Today, I spend my seasons sourcing and growing rare and hard-to-find varieties, carefully tending each plant here in Napa Valley. This isn’t mass production—it’s a curated collection grown with intention, where every tuber has a story and every bloom is part of something bigger.

Alex Flower Farm is more than a flower business. It’s a legacy, a labor of love, and a place where beauty is meant to be shared.

Quality & Commitment

We take plant health seriously and follow careful sanitation practices throughout the growing and propagation process. Snips are cleaned between cuts and soaked in a Virkon solution, and we routinely monitor plants for signs of disease.

We use Agdia test strips to screen for common viruses such as TSV and TSWV, and any plants that appear questionable are removed from the collection. While we take these precautions, dahlias are known to carry viruses that may not always show visible symptoms. We do not test for every virus, and cannot guarantee plants are 100% virus-free.

Our goal is to maintain a healthy, well-managed collection and to share strong, quality tubers with confidence.
